Roof Insurance Claim Help

Storm damage happens.
We handle what comes next.

Filing a roof insurance claim in St. Louis? KPro has handled hundreds of them. When the adjuster arrives, a senior project lead is on the roof alongside them to make sure nothing gets overlooked. That level of involvement can make a major difference in how a claim is evaluated and approved.

What you actually get

The KPro insurance claim process.

Most roofers say they "help with insurance." Almost none of them actually walk the roof with your adjuster. That's the difference, and it's why KPro wins the claims most contractors lose.

Here's exactly what happens when you call us after a storm:

Step 1 — Free drone inspection within 24 hours. We document everything. Damaged shingles, dented vents, lifted flashing, hail-impacted gutters, soft spots in the roof deck. You get the photos and a written report whether you file a claim or not.

Step 2 — We help you file. Our reports are written for insurance — claim numbers, dates, locations, damage codes. Customers tell us our documentation is "top class." Your claim moves faster because the carrier doesn't have to ask follow-up questions.

Step 3 — KPro team member meets adjuster. When your insurance adjuster arrives, a KPro sales representative is there with them — walking the roof, reviewing damage, and making sure nothing gets overlooked. We document everything clearly, answer questions directly, and help keep the process moving smoothly for you.

Step 4 — Approved? Install starts. Materials delivered. Crew on-site. Old roof off. New roof on.

What it actually looks like

Documentation that wins claims.

When Kyle or a project lead meets your adjuster, you get more than just a contractor in the room. You get documentation a carrier can't argue with.

Real customer story
"Beau Le Master did a wonderful job. He went above and beyond. He made sure the crews did what they were supposed to. The workers worked very hard on roof, siding, gutters and downspouts. Beau was in touch with State Farm Claims and our agent's office representative. Everyone was respectful and even used translation on their cell phone if we had questions. KPro is a great company and can be proud of the way they put the customer first."

Frequently Asked

Insurance Claims FAQ

Everything St. Louis homeowners ask before, during, and after a roof claim. Don't see yours? Call (636) 557-5919.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?+

In Missouri, weather-related claims (hail, wind, storm) generally do not raise your individual rates because they are classified as Acts of God. Your carrier may raise rates regionally if there's been a major storm, but that happens whether you file or not. The carriers we work with most — State Farm, Allstate, USAA, Liberty Mutual, Farmers — all treat weather claims this way. We tell every homeowner: don't leave a legitimate claim on the table because you're worried about rates.

How do I know if my roof has hail or wind damage?+

You usually can't see hail damage from the ground — that's the whole problem. KPro provides a free 24-hour drone inspection that documents bruising, granule loss, lifted shingles, and impact marks. We give you the photos and a written assessment whether you file a claim or not. If we don't find damage, we tell you — we don't manufacture claims to chase commissions like some storm-chasers do.

What's the deadline to file a claim after a storm?+

Most Missouri policies require filing within 12 months of the date of loss, though some carriers allow up to 24 months. The earlier you file, the easier the documentation. We've helped homeowners file 8–10 months after a storm and won — but waiting too long gives the carrier reason to deny. If you suspect you have damage from a recent storm, get inspected within 30 days.

Will KPro meet my insurance adjuster on-site?+

Yes — every single time. Kyle (owner) or our claims lead is on the roof with your adjuster. We bring the drone footage, the moisture readings, the impact map, and the policy language. Adjusters are graded on closing claims fast — having a knowledgeable contractor present means more legitimate damage gets covered, not less. This is the single biggest difference between KPro and contractors who 'send an estimate.'

What if my claim gets denied or low-balled?+

We file a supplement. Most denials and low estimates are because the adjuster missed damage in their initial walkthrough or used outdated pricing. We submit photo evidence, Xactimate line items, and a detailed scope of work. Approximately 40% of our claims involve a supplement. We do this work for you at no cost — it's part of the relationship.

Do I have to use KPro for the work if you do the inspection?+

No. Our inspection is genuinely free and there's no contract obligation. Some homeowners take our documentation to their existing roofer or a relative in the trades. We'd rather earn your business through the work than lock you in upfront. That said, around 90% of homeowners we inspect end up using KPro — usually because the adjuster meeting goes better when we're already involved.

How much will I owe out of pocket?+

In most approved insurance claims, your out-of-pocket responsibility is your deductible. Your insurance company pays the approved claim amount and subtracts your deductible from their payment. The insurance funds received, along with your deductible payment, are then applied toward the cost of your project. KPro does not waive deductibles, as doing so is prohibited by insurance regulations. If your deductible creates a financial hardship, financing options may be available.
